JACKSON COUNTY, Ore. -- Oregon State Police says a woman from Gold Hill is in custody after eluding police.
OSP says the vehicle eluded an officer on I-5 when a traffic stop was attempted.
OSP then says Jackson County was pursuing the vehicle on I-5 southbound near mile post 34.
Then, the vehicle hit a spike strip and a pit maneuver was performed north of the Phoenix interchange on I-5, but the suspect drove out of the pit onto the median.
OSP says the officer stopped the pursuit because the suspect was "demonstrating unpredictable and dangerous intentions."
OSP says Jackson County Sheriff's Office eventually took Sydney Sutherland into custody, and the vehicle had damage and the airbags were deployed.
