ROSEBURG, Ore-- On Monday, the Douglas Forest Protective Associations says that the forward spread of the Vintage Lane Fire has been halted.
Crews from the Douglas Forest Protective Association and Myrtle Creek Rural Fire Department say they responded to a barn fire on Monday located approximately 4 miles northwest of Myrtle Creek, near Vintage Lane.
Upon arrival, around 11:45 a.m., firefighters reported that the barn was engulfed in flames and had spread to about a quarter acre of wildland fuels adjacent to the structure.
The Vintage Lane Fire burned about a half-acre of grass and blackberry briars before the forward spread of the fire was stopped.
Fire crews say that the barn was a total loss, but no injuries were reported.
Crews remained on scene of the incident until two in the afternoon, mopping up hot spots and securing control lines.
