White City, Ore.- Today Jackson County Public Health teamed up with the Eagle Point School District, Rogue Community Health, LA Clinica and Oregon Health and Science University nursing students to provide a free drive-through influenza shot clinic. The event was in preparation for the Covid-19 vaccination is ready and to spread the importance of the flu vaccination during this season, because flu season usually lasts between November through January. You can get the flu and Covid-19 at the same time.
Tanya Phillips, the Jackson County Public Health Promotion Manager said "People can get flu and Covid-19 at the same time, people who've already had Covid, or the flu does make them more susceptible... have more severe complications from one of those infections. So the great thing about the flu is that it is vaccine preventable. It is one of the best methods that we have to prevent this infection, and so we really just want people to, really take advantage of the flu vaccine this year and at least get themselves protected and those around them, just to provide that protection this year."

You can now set up appointments to get the flu vaccine at one of these locations:
- Jackson County Public Health
- Fred Myers
- LA Clinica
- Rogue Community Health
- Walgreens
- Safeway
