EUGENE, Ore. — Saturday's football practice and scrimmage were canceled after five people within the program had positive COVID-19 antigen tests. It's the first positive tests since the team began daily antigen testing.
"We did have five positive antigen tests today in our program, so we did cancel the scrimmage tonight," Ducks Head Coach Mario Cristobal said in a statement.
All five people are "asymptomatic, in isolation and being monitored by medical staff" according to an Oregon press release.
Local health authorities were notified so they could begin contact tracing of the players.
