GRANTS PASS, Ore. — Firefighters responded to a fire reported at a Grants Pass business on Thursday night, knocking down the flames before they destroyed the building.
According to Rural Metro Fire, the fire started at NiceBadge, a business on Harbeck Road. Officials said that the fire likely started outside of a shed near the business, burned onto the shed, then spread to the attic of the business itself.
"NiceBadge, its owner and staff, have been significant supporters in the recognition of local first responders for many years," Rural Metro said. "We are saddened by the damage this fire has caused, and hope they can get back on their feet soon."
No one was inside the business at the time of the fire, and there were no injuries. Flames destroyed the shed completely, but the business was largely spared beyond damage in the attic.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but fire officials did not immediately consider it to be suspicious.
