ASHLAND, Ore. — Fire crews from multiple agencies descended on the Super 8 Hotel in Ashland late Friday morning after reports that the building was on fire.
Once firefighters arrived and trained their hoses on flames crawling up one side of the building, they said that that most of the flames were extinguished in a matter of minutes.
Investigation of the fire revealed that some burning debris or garbage had come in contact with the side of the building, eventually burning into the wall. Fire crews tore into the inside of the building in order to track down hot spots caused by the flames after they burned through the side of the building.
The hotel was quickly evacuated once someone spotted the fire, and there were no reported injuries. Fire crews estimated that guests would be able to return to the hotel relatively soon.
