CENTRAL POINT, Ore. -- The first family to receive mobile relocation housing from FEMA was able to see their RV home at Southern Oregon RV Park in Central Point for the first time today.
Simon Turner, his infant daughter, and girlfriend were living in their Phoenix townhome for only one week before it burned to the ground.
Turner said he was separated from his family while waiting on FEMA assistance and is happy they will be togther again.
FEMA signed a contract with the Southern Oregon RV Park to house 22 families under a 6 month renewable contract. Two more families will be moving in this weekend while seven others are scheduled to move in next week.
