NEAR GOLD HILL, Ore.-- Firefighters worked through the night battling the Ramsey Canyon Fire near Gold Hill.
Melissa Cano with the Oregon Department of Forestry joined NewsWatch 12 This Morning for a live update on the fire.
Cano says according to nightshift intel, crews were able to complete about 30% of some handlines and dozer lines.
As of 6:45 a.m., the fire is considered approximately 15% contained.
According to ODF, the Ramsey Canyon Fire is now burning 800 acres.
If weather conditions allow, multiple aircraft will help fight the fire. Right now, ODF says it has several air tankers on standby.
Two teams will be coming in Thursday, to help relieve local resources.
