MEDFORD, Ore---An Earth Day rally will be held on Monday, April 22, to celebrate Earth Day.

The rally is put on by Oregon District 2 Indivisible. It will happen between noon and 1 p.m. It will take place at the Vogel Center on Central.

However, it was organized by local, 17-year-old, Patience Jankovsky.

The goal for Jankovsky is not only to save the Earth from climate change, but to get the youth involved in big issues.

"Well I know that in our community. Our youth group, just in Medford in general, is not involved so much in big issues in our world. I was thinking about how to get kids involved. I know a lot of people I know, that are my age, are really interested in helping save the Earth." Jankovsky said.

If you bring a plastic water bottle, they will recycle it, and give you a garden starter in return.

They will also be asking those who attend to sign a sheet. That will be taken to the Oregon Congressmen, in an effort to show how many people care about the issue.
