EAGLE POINT, Ore. — An Eagle Point woman is in the Jackson County Jail on Thursday after being accused of sharing child pornography online, according to the Jackson County Sheriff's Office.
Detectives with the Sheriff's Office received a report in January from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Investigations of possible child porn being uploaded from an address in the 600-block of E Archwood Drive in Eagle Point.
Over the next several months, an investigation led the Sheriff's Office to get a search warrant issued for the home of a suspect in the case. She has been identified as 28-year-old Kayla Dee Lester from E Archwood Drive in Eagle Point.
On Wednesday, Lester was arrested and taken to the Jackson County Jail on one count of Encouraging Child Sex Abuse in the First Degree.
The Sheriff's Office said that the investigation into this case is ongoing, and has been assisted thus far by the Southern Oregon High Tech Crimes Task Force, Homeland Security, and Eagle Point Police Department.
