Eagle Point Police Chief Retires, Interim Chief Appointed

The Eagle Point Police Dept. has appointed an interim chief. Former Chief Vern Thompson retired after seven years with the agency.

EAGLE POINT, Ore.-- The Eagle Point Police Department has a new interim chief.
Darin May was appointed to the position after former Chief Vern Thompson retired in December.
Thompson had been with EPPD since 2010.
The interim chief has been with the department since 1998.
City Council swore-in Interim Chief May last night at their meeting.
