KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — A Dutch Bros Coffee employee in Klamath Falls has tested positive for coronavirus, the company announced in a statement on Friday.
"The health and well-being of our customers and employees is always our top priority," the company said. "That's why we feel it’s important to confirm an employee of Dutch Bros Klamath Falls has tested positive for COVID-19."
Dutch Bros said that the employee worked at its location at 3255 Washburn Way. They received a positive test result on Friday and were advised to self-isolate for the next 14 days.
The employee last worked during the day on July 4 and on the morning of July 4.
"We learned of the positive case on Friday, 7/10 and immediately started closing procedures," Dutch Bros said. "As an extra precaution, the location will undergo a third-party deep clean overnight. We are also coordinating with public health officials to confirm our protocols not only meet, but exceed, expectations."
Dutch Bros has made a number of changes over the past few months in an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19, including increased hand-washing and sanitizing, halting the use of personal mugs, closing walk-up windows, halting the use of cash, and using masks.
"We want the community to know we’re following all recommended CDC guidelines and will continue to keep the community’s health at the forefront of all decisions we make," Dutch Bros said.
