MEDFORD, Ore. — The driver of a pickup truck died in the early hours of Sunday morning after a single-vehicle crash and resulting fire on Highway 238, according to Oregon State Police.
State troopers and emergency crews responded to the crash shortly after 12:30 a.m. on Sunday. They found the crash site on Highway 238 near the intersection with Hanley Road.
The initial investigation by OSP found that the driver was heading westbound in a Toyota SR5 pickup when they veered off the roadway and crashed. The pickup then caught on fire.
Authorities did not immediately identify the driver, who died in the crash.
