PHOENIX, Ore. — The Jackson County Animal Shelter will be hosting another low-cost shot clinic on Saturday, October 17th. This will be a drive-through and appointment only event. The last day to call for an appointment is Friday, October 16th.
The low-cost shot clinic will be for cats and dogs to receive a rabies shot ($10), distemper or canine distemper combo shots ($15). The Jackson County Animal Shelter also wants to remind everyone that it is an Oregon State law to get your dogs licensed. To get your dog(s) licensed is to give them an up to date rabies shot.
A low-cost shot clinic will hopefully be available every third Saturday of the month.
The Jackson County Animal Shelter has also reached out to animals in need or animals that were displaced by the Almeda Fire. If you have lost a pet, you can go online on the Jackson County Animal Shelters website to see if your pet is there. The shelter has a picture and description of all animals that were misplaced or up for adoption. If you do not see your pet online, the shelter highly encourages people to call them and file a missing pet report.
