WINSTON, Ore. — A man from the city of Winston in Douglas County is being investigated for child sex abuse following a traffic stop early this month, according to Oregon State Police.
A trooper with OSP pulled over 21-year-old Brandyn Olinger in the Glide area on March 1, the agency said. In the car with him was a 15-year-old girl.
"The Trooper contacted the mother of the 15 year old and determined she did not have permission to be with Olinger," OSP said. "The mother came and picked up the 15 year old from the traffic stop."
Detectives with OSP followed up on the stop with a more focused investigation, getting a search warrant for Olinger's car and home. On March 10, investigators with OSP and Winston Police searched Olinger's house in Winston.
During the search, detectives seized several electronic devices. Olinger was arrested and charged with using a child in display of sexually explicit conduct, encouraging child sexual abuse in the second degree, encouraging child sexual abuse in the first degree, online sexual corruption of a child in the first degree, and tampering with physical evidence.
"The Oregon State Police believe Olinger may have more victims," the agency said. "Olinger also goes by the name Brandyn Moxey. If you have any information regarding Olinger please contact Detective Tina Nibblett with the Oregon State Police at (541) 440-3316."
