Riding in style with trunks full of coats, the Rogue Valley Street Rods donated around 250 new coats to NewsWatch 12's Coats for Kids Campaign.
Every year the Street Rods donate hundreds of coats. The club used to hold a car show but now that they don't do that anymore they focus their attention on helping the children of the Rogue Valley stay warm.
"You know we're all grandparents and help the kids and that's helping the family," explains Rogue Valley Street Rod President, Ron Peil, "maybe this will free up some money for the parents during this special time of year for kids and grandkids."
Every year the club starts stocking up as soon as coats go on sale in the spring so they can contribute as many as possible.
The NewsWatch 12 Coats for Kids Campaign ends on October 25th. You can drop of a new or gently used coat of any size at any of our 54 drop-off locations across Jackson, Josephine, and Klamath counties. To find a full list of our drop-off locations click here.
