MEDFORD, Ore --- Across the country businesses and restaurants are offering discounts or giveaways to veterans on Veterans Day. 

Here are some happening locally:

1) Southern Oregon Auto Care in Medford 

Every veteran, active military member or spouse of an active military member gets a free oil change. The business just asks that you schedule an appointment. Here is the phone number: (541) 210-5686. It opens on Monday at 7:30 am. Make sure to bring your military ID. 

2) Southern Oregon Humane Society

Veterans and active service members get an adoption fee discount for any dog or cat. SOHumane wants to say thank you to those who have or are serving. Make sure to bring your military ID.

3) Cracker Barrel

Free double chocolate fudge coca cola cake dessert for veterans. Make sure to bring your military ID.

4) Olive Garden 

Free meal from a special menu. Plus unlimited soup or salad and bread sticks. Make sure to bring your military ID.

5) Red Robin 

Veterans and active duty service members get a free tavern double burger with bottomless steak fires. Make sure to bring your military ID.
