WHITE CITY, Ore.- At 7:44 yesterday evening the Jackson County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a disorderly loud party on Agate Meadows. The report stated that there were more than 25 people inside the house and dozens of cars illegally parked throughout the neighborhood and speeding down the street.
One neighbor said that she had groups of people jumping the fence into her backyard and other yards trying to run away from deputies. Another neighbor claimed the house party was actually a music video being shot.
During the dispute at 7:59, the deputy on scene was involved in a shooting. The person that was shot is currently at one of the local hospitals, and is not facing any life threatening injuries. There has not been any other information about the deputy involved or the person that was shot.
The Medford Police, Eagle Point Police and Oregon State Police also arrived to the scene to help the Jackson County Deputies. The Jackson County Major Assault Death Investigation Unit (MADIU) was also called out and is coordinating the investigation. No further information is available at this time.
