ROSEBURG, Ore. — Deputies have discovered the body of a Roseburg man who was recently reported missing, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
22-year-old Austin Allen Wilkison was last seen leaving a house on Little Valley Road around 7:30 p.m. on Friday. According to DCSO, Wilkison had planned to meet some friends and then return home. His family became concerned about his welfare and reported his disappearance to authorities.

During the investigation, deputies learned that Wilkison was "possibly despondent" and may have gone up to the mountains near Glide. Search and Rescue teams began searching the area.
Around 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday, DCSO learned that Wilkison's car — a silver 2001 Acura CL — had been spotted by a bear hunter around the Canton Creek Campground near Steamboat over the weekend. The hunter saw the missing person flyer and contacted authorities.
When deputies responded to the area mentioned by the hunter, they found Wilkison's vehicle with his body inside.
"The Douglas County Sheriff's Office notified Wilkison's family as well as the Douglas County Medical Examiner's Office who is conducting a death investigation," the agency said. "There is nothing suspicious about Wilkison's death at this time."
