CURRY COUNTY, Ore--- Earlier this afternoon, Curry County Public Health Officials announced two new cases of the coronavirus. The county has now had 74 cases since the start of the pandemic along with two deaths. 16 cases are currently active in the county.
CCPH says that it has been in contact with both people and they are both isolating and monitoring their symptoms.
According to health officials, one of the individuals is in the hospital for pre-existing health conditions. Contact tracing is being used to see whether either two people had been in contact with anyone else while having the virus.
CCPH wants to remind everyone that people follow the Oregon Health Authority and Center for Disease Control guidelines about social distancing, wearing facial coverings in public buildings and to stay at home to slow the spread of the virus.
