Cougar Spotted Near Bellview Elementary School In Ashland

Police are patrolling for the cougar, which has not been located.

ASHLAND, Ore. — A cougar was spotted overnight near Bellview Elementary School In Ashland overnight, according to a text alert issued by the City of Ashland.

Police are patrolling for the cougar, which has not been located.

School is in session and students will remain indoors until it is deemed safe to go outside, according to the school.

This is the second sighting of a cougar near a school this week in Ashland. Ashland Police reported a cougar and two cubs were spotted near Lincoln School around 10 P.M.  on Monday, November 5.
