PORTLAND, Ore.— A Yamhill man has died from the coronavirus as health officials continue to see increase in new cases.
Officials say that the man was 93 years old, and tested positive back on March 18th. He died Friday night at Providence Newberg Medical Center and did not have any known underlying medical conditions. The death now marks the 13th covid-19 related death in the state as of March 28th.
Oregon Health Authority also reported 65 new cases, bringing the total to 479. Two of the new cases are in Jackson county, and one is in Josephine. The other cases were: Benton (3), Clackamas (5), Clatsop (1), Deschutes (2), Linn (4), Marion (11), Multnomah (14), Polk (1), Umatilla (1), Washington (18), Yamhill (2).
The current state total is 479 as of March 28th.
