WHITE CITY, Ore. Fire District 3 started a new program called the Community Care Program. This will allow medical personnel, an EMT and paramedic, to help asses people with non-emergency medical calls. This program will reduce the need for big fire trucks and sirens to non-emergency calls, which will also be more eco-friendly and efficient.
The program will be free for all residents within Frie District 3. The program was made to help people find the medical care they need without going to the hospital. The paramedic and EMT will be able to asses the person, and call Asante Hospital through an IPad for telemedical help.
The Community Care Program will consist of one EMT and one paramedic for one team. There will be two teams for all around seven day assistance.
