A man from Central Point has been arrested on five charges of Encouraging Child Sex Abuse.
David Durham-Gendreau, 36, of Central Point, Ore. is lodged at the Jackson County jail on charges related to sharing images of child sexual abuse online. He was arraigned this afternoon in Jackson County Circuit Court. His bail is set at $100,000, and his next court appearance is scheduled for June 21, 2021.
Deputies with Jackson County Sheriff’s Department arrested Durham-Gendreau at his place of employment Thursday morning.
The DOJ had received information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) regarding images of child sexual abuse that were uploaded online. NCMEC received a report from the internet service provider that images were uploaded at an IP address in the 100 block of Castlewood Court in Central Point, Ore. Further investigation identified Durham-Gendreau as the suspect.
