MEDFORD, Ore. – The Medford and Ashland Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) vehicle inspection stations are now offering inspections services after being closed for months because of COVID-19.
A line from the Medford DEQ office stretched out along Biddle Rd. for the second day in a row, giving a visual of the backlog that the agency faces as they reopen.
The DEQ is asking the public for patience as DEQ staff work within new COVID-19 procedures, which are adding time spent on each transaction.
Nearly 200,000 inspections were postponed over the last three months, according to the DEQ.
