During fire season smoke is everywhere. It's on our clothes, our hair and of course in the air.
John Wencl the General Manager for ProKleen Cleaning & Restoration says as people are entering their homes they're bringing particulates in with them. He also says it's pretty easy assumption that if you have a home that you walk in and out of you have some kind of contamination.
To really get the smoke out of your home you need to have a deep clean by a professional. They will clean the air ducts, carpets and the air in general.
This cleaning can also help people with health issues from the smoke as well. Normally they recommend getting a clean once the season of fires is over, but if you or your family members are having health issues you should get it done sooner and more often.
For the time being dregular dusting, vaccumming and keeping doors and windows closed as much as possible will help reduce the smoke inside.
