MEDFORD, Ore. - High winds and bad weather due to a powerful storm system impacting the western U.S. is leading to cancellations and delays at the Rogue Valley International-Medford Airport Saturday and Sunday.
Flights arriving from San Francisco and departing to San Francisco have been cancelled. We're also seeing arrival and departure delays from Seattle and Portland.

One couple from Hawai'i visiting family in Merlin was stuck in the Rogue Valley for two days trying to get back home. Their flight Saturday was delayed so they missed their connecting flight to San Francisco.
"Then United didn't have a flight back to Honolulu after that so we would have been stuck after that. We would have had to stay over night some place. We came here about 6 o'clock in the morning [Sunday] to find out the flight was delayed again. We want to get home to Hawai'i, so what we did was the lady at United Airlines agent helped us to get on Delta so we're flying out of Delta from here to Seattle and from Seattle to Honolulu," said Harrison Hoe.
With more unsettled weather through the weekend in the Medford area and the rest of the region, be sure to check ahead if you have flight plans.
