JACKSON CO., Ore -- The wildfire on Heppsie Mountain is now estimated to be 20 to 30 acres in size.
The Oregon Department of Forestry says fire crews have been able to contain the portion on private industrial land.
Management of the fire is now being turned over to the Bureau of Land Management.

ORIGINAL POST (10/24/2019): Oregon Department of Forestry and Bureau of Land Management Crews are on the scene of an 11 acre wildfire.
The Heppsie Mountain Fire is located on Heppsie Mountain. It is about 20 miles east of Medford, and about 11 miles southwest of Mt. McLoughlin.
There are currently six engines, one dozer, one crew and BLM personnel on the scene.
There are no evacuations or road closures in place.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
