PHOENIX,Ore.-- After losing her own home to wildfire, Ashlee Smith started her non-profit, Ashlee's Toy Closet.
In hopes to bring joy to the littlest fire victims, Smith with the help f her non-profit, has distributed over 3 million toys to wildfire victims.
Saturday, Ashlee's Toy Closet distributed thousands of toys to children affected by the Almeda fire.
"The kids are the cutest they are just laughing and smiling and so excited they normally don't even put toys down once they grab one." Smith said.
The event took place at the Jackson County Fire District 5 , where Fire Chief Hanley says this is just part of the rebuilding effort.
"It just shows the generosity and what people are willing to do, to help their neighbors"replied Hanley.
Ashlee's Toy Closet drove from Sparks, Nevada to Southern Oregon, the non-profit showing its generosity one toy at a time
