ASHLAND, Ore. — Saturday's race was redemption for the Ashland boy's cross country team.
After finishing in what they considered a "disappointing" third place in the 2018 5A state race, the Grizzlies won in 2019 in commanding fashion.
Their top four runners finished first, third, fourth and fifth in the field of 95 runners. It was a commanding win in which EJ Holland, Arlo Davis and Cameron Stein all ran personal bests to secure the state title.
NewsWatch 12's Josh Shelton sat down with the team following their first state championship in 26 years as they prepare for the Nike Cross National qualifying race in Boise, Idaho this weekend.
