CENTRAL POINT, Ore. -- Asante is holding second dose COVID-19 vaccine events at the Jackson County Expo, February 11-13 from 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., and at the Josephine County Fairgrounds, February 14-15 from 10 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Second doses of the Pfizer vaccine will be available at both locations, while second doses of Moderna will only be available at the Josephine County Fairgrounds.
Spokesperson for Asante, Lauren Van Sickle said, "We really do not anticipate any left over vaccine from this event. We've got more demand probably than maybe supply, so we are right now preparing enough vaccine to administer all the second doses at both of these events."
People who plan on receiving a second shot at these events will be required to show their immunization card, which would prove you had a first dose in January.
Van Sickle said Asante is aware that demand for the COVID-19 vaccine is high and thanks the community for its patience while sorting out vaccine distribution.
If you need your second dose and are not scheduled for the vaccination event at either The Expo or Fairgrounds, you can call (541) 789-2813 to schedule an appointment to receive your second dose by Feb. 28.
