MEDFORD, Ore-- Southern Oregon raised more than $71,000 for Alzherimer's research.
The money is coming from Saturday's Walk to End Alzheimer's event.
It was a sea of purple walking along the bike path at US Cellular Park in Medford. About 500 people signed up for the walk.
Newswatch 12 spoke to one walker who signed up for her dad. Her and her family were there to show their support to other families, but she says their is another important reason. "To help find a cure, because we lost our father last year due to Alzheimer's." said Anna Waggener.
