LAKEVIEW, Calif. — The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality issued an air quality advisory on Monday for southern Lake County due to smoke from fires in Oregon and northern California.
The advisory also includes the Detroit Lake and Diamond Lake areas of Oregon as well. The advisory will last until the afternoon of Friday, September 17.
Health officials want to remind all Oregonians to be aware of the smoke in your area and avoid places with the highest levels. If you have heart or lung disease or asthma, it is recommended that you follow your healthcare provider's advice.
