SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. --

UPDATE: Ethan Robertson is safe, according to the Spokane County Sheriff's Office.

Law enforcement tracked Justin Robertson and Ethan to a house near St. John, Washington. With the help of a SWAT and Hostage Negotiation Team, officers secured Ethan's safe release from the house. However, at last update, the stand-off with Justin remained ongoing.

The Sheriff's Office said earlier in the day that Ethan's mother sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was recovering in the hospital.
