GRANTS PASS, Ore. -- Parts of the Rogue River will be closed to the public this weekend for a Southern Oregon tradition. For the 60th year, Boatnik is kicking off its weekend of events.
Garrin Beck, Active Club Member, said from Friday until Monday, boaters should expect to get turned around if they go near the event.
There's no boat traffic allowed from Baker Park down to the festival.
"There's no down river boating going on until Monday, so they're pretty much good to go from Schroder Park down to Robertson Bridge or so," Beck said.
He said marine deputies will be out on the water enforcing the limits.
Things will clear up Monday around 3 p.m. after the hydroplane race.
