MEDFORD, Ore. — This Sunday the Oregon railroad park opened its doors for a few hours, as dozens of local residents brought their families along for a fun weekend experience.
The park has recently begun re-opening its doors as the recent smoke and ongoing covid pandemic had kept the park closed all of 2020.
Even with the gates re-opening - several areas of the park remain closed because of the lack of volunteers to fully operate.
in part due to recent losses that the park's staff has had to cope with.
Yet according to Southern Oregon Live Steamers President Matthew Knauss, they plan to continue opening the park heading into the winter season, with several special events set to take place along the way.
