The kites that will fly during the Grants Pass Balloon & Kite Festival will be flown by individuals who are experienced operating their equipment at large open-to-the-public events, according to organizers. Outside kites are prohibited in the performance area. However, a new Public Kite Flying area will be held at a 5+ acre grassy field immediately adjacent to the Kite Performance area. Guests can bring their own kites, or buy one at the festival.

MegaFlag – Largest Kite in the World!
Guinness record certified as the largest kite in the world, the American MegaFlag kite appears only at the Grants Pass Balloon & Kite Festival—and nowhere else in the world, according to festival organizers.
