MEDFORD, Ore. — Tuesday night's unofficial results reveal the Medford School District will not be getting its school bond. The money would have gone toward providing two CTE facilities. One facility would have been built at North Medford High School, the other at South Medford High School.

Jackson County voters have showed they are not in favor of the $25 million bond with 52.11% against and 47.89% in favor.

"I know in my heart I did everything I could," said Medford School Board Chair Karen Starchvick. "I believe in this measure, I believe in this opportunity for kids. I could not have put more of myself and my heart into this campaign."

The District says that if the school bond does not officially pass, it will consider bringing it back for the following year. It also says it will continue to advance its CTE program with the resources it already has.

The Medford School District released a statement in reaction to the bond's failure that may be viewed below.
