Medford Man Arrested After Road Rage Incident Involving a Gun

The man has been arrested after punching a 70-year-old man in the face and pulling a gun, according to Medford Police.

WHITE CITY, Ore. — A road rage incident ended with the arrest of one Medford man yesterday, March 8. Witnesses say that the suspect, 37-year-old Julio Romano-Baez, flashed a handgun and punched a 70-year-old man in the face.

The exchange began with two men, driving along Highway 62, who got into a road rage-related argument. Witnesses say that they stopped in the parking lot of the Dollar Tree store at the corner of Highway 62 and Highway 140.

Bystanders began calling police after the two men got into a fight. Baez was seen to punch the other man in the face. Witnesses also say that they saw Baez brandishing a gun.

Police responded to the incident and took Baez into custody. The victim was treated at the scene for minor facial injuries.

Baez has been jailed on charges of fourth degree assault, menacing, carrying a concealed weapon, and second degree disorderly conduct.
