Oregon Shakespeare Festival Green Show Kicks Off

ASHLAND, Ore. -- Green Show performces at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival's courtyard stage starts on Tuesday. Rogue Suspects will be the first performers to take the stage this season. 

The preview shows for the outdoor Elizabethan Theatre also starts on Tuesday with Hamlet.

The shows will be six nights a week (Tuesday through Sunday) at 6:45 p.m. on the bricks. There will be 117 shows this season that will feature rock and Renaissance, African, Native American, Cambodian, country and folk, Taiwanese, African-American culture, Southern Oregon, Chinese, Latino, Japanese, Moroccan, Vietnamese, Iranian and performers with disabilities. 

"We've had months and months of with amazing artists and drilling down the hundreds of applicants to the 70 acts you'll be experiencing and 117 performances on green show stage this season," said Oregon Shakespeare Festival Community Producer Claudia Alick.

Green Show will go on until October 16.
