Ashland Independent Film Festival Just 2 Days Away

The Ashland Independent Film Festival is just two days away. On Tuesday, workers are trying to transform the Ashland Armory into a movie theater.

ASHLAND, Ore. -- The Ashland Independent Film Festival is just two days away. On Tuesday, workers are trying to transform the Ashland Armory into a movie theater. They just finished installing the film screen. Currently, they are working on clearing the entire hardwood space to put down chairs by Wednesday morning. The technical director, who plays a big role in the set-up, says the 5-day event is about more than just the films.
Bruce Hostetler said, "It's about this festival and these audiences, and it's about the people who live here. It's the fact that this is an amazing celebration of the people who live here and get to come and see these great films."
