ASHLAND, Ore. – The Ashland Independent Film Festival will soon receive a large grant to support audience participation efforts at its 2016 festival.

The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) will give AIFF a $10,000 Art Works grant for its April 7-11, 2016 festival.

Art Works says that the grant focuses on the creation of work and presentation of both new and existing work, lifelong learning in the arts and public engagement with the arts.

AIFF says it will use its Art Works grant to support free panel discussions with filmmakers and audiences, along with post-film question and answer sessions and to bring in special guests to talk about their experiences in creating short films.
