ASHLAND, Ore. -- With summer is here, a lot of southern Oregon residents will be keeping an eye on their use of water because of the drought.

For more than a hundred years, Ashland residents have turned their eyes to the mountains above
town to find the water needed for their yards and household use.

In tonight’s Oregon Trails, Newswatch 12's Ron Brown takes a look at the decision to build a landmark concrete dam near the head of Ashland Creek, and how it has kept supplied the city with drinking water for nearly nine decades.
