MEDFORD, Ore. -- The orchard boom around 1910 brought one of the most unique businesses in Oregon to Medford.

The natatorium, a word you don't hear much anymore, is basically an indoor swimming pool.

A group of Medford businessmen bought into the project for about $50,000 and hired a Portland man to manage the property.

Not only was it a large swimming pool in the summer, it also had other attractions.

NewsWatch 12's Ron Brown shows us more in the Oregon Century segment above.
