CAVE JUNCTION, Ore.--Coming off a seven-point showing last week, the St. Mary's offense rounded into form to open league play, demolishing Illinois Valley 53-15.

Cobey Aldrich caught a pair of touchdown passes, running back Gavin Rajagopal ran wild, and the 38-point win marked the largest margin of victory this season for the Crusaders (4-3, 1-0).

The loss for Illinois Valley (3-4, 0-1) is its third in a row. The Cougars close their season with road trips to Lakeview and Cascade Christian in week eight and week nine.

St. Mary's returns to its Saturday slot at Spiegelberg Stadium next week, hosting Cascade Christian with the top spot in the Southern Cascade League on the line.
