CENTRAL POINT- Ore.- The 39th annual Southern Oregon Home Show hosted by the Builders Association Southern Oregon is held at the Jackson County Expo. The last day to attend is tomorrow, May 23 from 10am to 4pm, admission is $5 and a food court is available at the EXPO in the designated picnic area.
For 2021, the “There’s No Place Like Home!” theme embraces homes as more than a place to relax and enjoy family but are now providing income revenue streams through their business offices. The 2021 Southern Oregon Home Show, although a retail event which will observe current OHA guidelines, will offer the community a window into what is new, fun, and exciting for homes, offices, yards, and gardens all while providing a bit of normalcy for a healing Southern Oregon.
"This event is the one place once a year, where everyone can find everything for their home and property, all in one place. We really thought long and hard whether we were going to do this event or not, because the situation is still a little bit unsettled, but we had so many people say, please, please, please do this event, we really want it, we need it."
The Southern Oregon Home Show typically brings in about $4 to $5 million dollars into the local economy. This helps bring local people together with local businesses to get the products and services that they need. 80% of the vendors at the home show are local businesses around Southern Oregon.
With new Covid-19 guidelines, The Southern Oregon Home Show is following OHA guidelines and is not requiring face masks indoors. However, free PPE gear is available for anyone or business that may need face masks, gloves or sanitizer.
