GRANTS PASS, Ore.-- Saturday, May 22 , 2021 is the 29th Annual Rogue River Clean-Up out of Whitehorse County Park in Grants Pass.
For this event, hundreds of volunteers from the community come out and pick up trash and/or pull invasive weeds along the Wild & Scenic Rogue River from the check-in at Whitehorse County Park down to the Grave Creek boat ramp.
Check-in begins at 8:30 AM, with the official start of the event at 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Volunteers will be provided with gloves, trash bags, an event t-shirt, a raffle ticket to win one of several prizes, and a free bagged sandwich lunch from Cartwright’s Market. If volunteers have their own gloves and trash grabbers, they are encouraged to bring those with them. Additionally, volunteers may choose to pick up trash instream via kayaks, rafts, and/or fishing boats.
All Josephine County Parks fees will be waived for the event (8:30 AM – 12:00 PM).
The event is organized by the Rogue Valley Council of Governments and Stream Smart.
