CENTRAL POINT, Ore-- The owner of Preacher's BBQ Food Truck says the industry is growing, quickly.
The first Food Truck Competition in Central Point showed just how many food trucks there were in Southern Oregon. There were more than a dozen food trucks to try. From BBQ, grilled cheese and snow cones.
NewsWatch 12 talked to the owner of Preacher's BBQ. He just started his food truck in June. He says soon our region could pass a big city. "Oh I do. I think to be honest with you, we are probably going to catch up to Portland. Probably surpass them. As far as food truck availability and what we have in this valley." said Bob Stapp, Owner of Preacher's BBQ.
Stapp said events like this one help his business. This gives people an opportunity to try his food for the first time and know where they can find his truck again. He was also pleasantly surprised by the huge turnout.
