SELMA, Ore. — An 18-year-old woman from Sisters, Oregon was killed in a single-vehicle crash along Redwood Highway in the early hours of Wednesday morning, according to Oregon State Police.
State troopers and emergency crews responded to the crash near Hayes Hill just after midnight. According to Rural Metro Fire, firefighters and paramedics worked to extract the trapped driver, but she unfortunately did not survive.
OSP's investigation found that 18-year-old Rianna McGonagle of Sisters was driving southbound in a Chevrolet Malibu when she veered off the road, striking a tree.
Rural Metro Fire, Illinois Valley Fire, AMR, OSP and the Josephine County Sheriff's Office all worked at the scene.
