GRANTS PASS, Ore. -- Southern Oregon Regional Economic Development Inc., or SOREDI, is hoping its 3rd annual Rogue Tech Tour will show college seniors all of the opportunities the Rogue Valley has to offer.

The tour takes groups of college seniors from all over the region to network with local businesses that have internships and jobs to offer.

Alyssa Teterude, Talent acquisition HR Manager for Harry and David, said many students might not realize how many tech jobs the company has.

"From finance, to IT to marketing, to HR to graphic design, there's so many opportunities and it's fun to be a part of something that's been a part of our community for so long," Teterude said.

Southern Oregon University Senior Megan Ruby lives in Grants Pass and is hoping to find an opportunity there.

"It's expensive to move, especially to a city if you don't have a job lined up, so being able to find something here would be amazing," Ruby said.

Ruby was able to connect with Harry and David about an internship that would allow her to work on the company's website and make it user-friendly.

This year's tour included more than 80 students and ten local businesses.
